Finding the best-flooring-ideas is difficult unless you know exactly what you want. A fun part of building a new home or renovating an old one is choosing the type of flooring we want. The days of wall-to-wall carpet are ending and we are seeing some really creative floor designs.
One of my most favorite types of floors are the pebble tile floors or laminate stone floors. They are easy to install and are very tough.
Stone flooring adds value to a home. It gives it a modern look as well.
You can see a few examples and installation instructions on my
pebble tile flooring page.

Outdoor flooring is usually done with tile or stone and it can be really expensive to have it done for you. It can be a really fun project if you do it yourself though.
You can learn about laying down
laminate stone flooring
that has a professional appearance and it's really durable. For bigger projects like patios, gardens and walkways you can use
paver stones
and lay them in place. The ground needs to be prepared so that the pavers don't rise and sink to create an uneven surface. The ground needs to be tamped so it's solid. It's also a good idea to put sand or light gravel down before you put the paver stones in place.
The stones fit together and stay in place for many years. Some landscapers use mortar to set the stones in place, but if you have properly prepared the ground surface then you won't need to use it. The best-flooring-ideas for outdoor flooring come from going to landscaping sites and learning how they install out floors and what patterns they use.
