Kitchens are the most important part of design-interior-residential planning. A modern kitchen and kitchen cabinets will give your home a lot more value and it will also help your home sell quickly if it's planned out well if you ever need to sell. Kitchens have come a long way in just a few years. Modern kitchens are spacious and comfortable. Islands and bars are usually part of the new plans.
Most people either stay in the kitchen to eat or they go into the family room. We are slowly phasing out Dining rooms.
Many new homes now have entertainment systems installed in the kitchen so people can sit and eat their meals while they watch movies and junk. The traditional "family at the table" gathering to eat meals and talk to each other about life is going away. Too bad, I kind of liked those moments.
Kitchens need to be more spacious and wider than ever before.
You can buy cabinet kits from most of the bigger hardware stores. The cost will be much less and they will still look quite nice. Usually the best design-interior-residential cabinets are those that are made by cabinet makers.
