Make sure that you understand the wire sizes and the amount of current they will safely carry. When wires overheat due to bad calculations, bad things happen. Always have circuit breakers off and keep good communication with other fellow workers or family members if you're working on your own home, about what you are doing with the electrical circuits. Electrical safety is important in all types of wiring. Doorbells and phone wiring systems have low voltage, but in the right conditions, both can cause harm. 120-volt lines and especially 240-volt circuits need to be wired with the utmost care and safety.
