Installing flex-track-lighting for accent illumination

I think the new styles of flex-track-lighting look cool. They add a touch of excitement to the ceiling even when the lights are off.

Flexible track lighting is about as easy to install as straight track lights. It is considered monorail track lighting because it only has one track where the lights hang from or protrude.

The flex cable comes in a kit for low-voltage or 120-volts. This depends on how much light you want.

Flex cable needs to be secured wherever there is a major bend. This is done with metal stems that can can secured with wall anchors into the sheetrock ceiling or wall.

The light base connects to the light fixture box in the ceiling or wall just like any other light fixture. If you are using low-voltage, here is usually where the transformer goes also.

The flexible track allows you to bend it to wherever you can get the desired affect for ultimate lighting and ambiance.

Any flex lighting used today is contemporary lighting because of its newness. I don't like a lot of contemporary styles, but as far as flex lighting, I have seen some awesome displays.
