Can you get the respect you need to present your home-interior-design-idea?When you decide to present your home-interior-design-idea to your contractor, will he blow you off and ask to speak to the man of the house? Or worse yet, if you do your own contracting or homebuilding will the subcontractors and male workers fail to give you the respect you deserve?
I wished I could say that male chauvinists don't exist anymore, but in certain circles, they are alive and well. You will probably find a few in the construction industry, but times and attitudes really are changing for the better. Men that have attitudes against women find themselves alone in this day and age. Nobody really wants to be with them. Chauvinists don't get any support from supervisors and contractors to help them in their arrogance. If they are harassing people, they need to be removed and our society is ready to do just that. Harassment laws have intertwined all of us into a really tight ball where we all have to play nice or pack our bags. It's a good thing. Don't be afraid to be assertive when planning and building your home. You should have things the way you want. Be nice about it though. home-interior-design-idea top of page
