The new style of landscape-ponds are very creative and quite expensive if you have them professionally built. You can always go and get a black, plastic landscaping pond from Home depot or Lowes and then add some dirt or block around it.

There's no comparison, though, to a professionally built landscaping pond. They last longer and will give more value to your home.

Koi ponds are really popular among the more affluent people in the United States. I think this tradition came from Japan, but I don't know very much about Koi. Fish ponds are a growing trend.

I could watch the Koi for hours. They seem so peaceful and add such a beautiful touch of color to a garden pond.
One of the best things about Koi is that they are really hearty and will continue to keep growing as long as they have minimal food, adequate water temperature, and no Pelicans. I hate pelicans!

I have seen some really gorgeous water gardens with so much creativity.
