Creating landscape-waterfalls and water features
I really enjoy most kinds of landscape-waterfalls and water features because of the source of life they offer. A water hose is usually just as good, but waterfalls have appeal. In many water gardens I'm seeing waterfalls that use a lot of plant life giving the garden a greener look. The idea is to disguise the pipes and pump so that it looks natural.

Most landscaping waterfalls are run with pumps to conserve water. The waterfalls that have several levels are the most popular instead of the long-drop waterfalls.

Some people like to have a waterfall that runs into a pool. This is always fun. Some have Koi swimming around and it gives the water feature a calm, relaxed feel.

Still, there are others who prefer to just have the waterfall mysteriously seep into the ground without a pond. These are easier to maintain because they don't gather as much sediment as ponds. Fish such as Koi can also create a lot of sediment. A good filter and chamber is necessary to reduce sediment.

The waterfall in the photo above offers a tranquil view and sound just feet away from a fire pit. I have enjoyed many evenings between the water fall and the fire there.
I am in seventh heaven when I have water and fire actively running and burning around me when I'm relaxing.

Not only are landscaping plans that utilize a waterfall and a fire pit relaxing, but it is so popular to prospective home buyers that one of these features alone could make the difference of a home selling or not selling in a difficult housing market.
